The Gracie Morumbi Fundamentals Program teachs the overall self-defense strategy of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Within about four months, you will learn the 60 Gracie Morumbi Fundamental Technique Groups that include more than 200 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques.
After four months, you will develop the physical and mental skills to successfully apply BJJ techniques that could literally save their lives during a confrontation. You will then eligible to participate in the Advanced Program. Along with learning practical self defense skills, you will discover huge improvements in your discipline, confidence, and self-esteem, the benefits of which will last a lifetime.
The Advanced Program curriculum focuses exclusively on learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the Gi, and will allow you to further your study of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu grappling techniques.
In conjunction with the ground techniques, you will learn the major and most effective throwing techniques which will enable you to transition from the feet onto the ground. In addition, the Advanced Program is more than a series of isolated techniques – the curriculum includes a unique approach, which allows you to understand the links, combinations, and transitions between techniques, improving your reaction time and refining your skills. During the Advanced Program, you will discover strengths and weaknesses of your technical ability, and begin to create your individualized Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu game. During the Advanced program you will also have the option to study No-Gi Jiu jitsu or Submission Grappling. These techniques are similar but are practiced without the traditional uniform(or Gi). Students where a rash guard and shorts during this class. Advanced students will aslo have the option to study Brazilian Jiu jitsu for MMA(Mixed Martial Arts).
Gracie Morumbi offers kickboxing programs for adults with an emphasis on technique and fitness. You will learn in a safe, supportive environment that fosters personal growth and confidence. You will learn proper technique for punches, kicks, movement, defense and more. Kickboxing is an excellent and fun way to increase your strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance.
After progressing to the Advance Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program, you can train in the MMA Program. The MMA Program is a blend of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Wrestling. This blend of styles gives students training in all facets of mixed martial arts. Students train without the gi, in shorts and rash guard.
The Kettlebell workout is designed to increase strength, endurance, agility and balance. Utilizing functional training and body dynamics, kettlebells help with weight loss, body toning, conditioning, as well as improved in general health. Dini Leopoldo is a certified RKCII Kettlebell Instructor and a certified personal fitness trainer under the NASM. Her motto is, “to empower individuals to live a healthy life”.
